memory: why do you rebel?
( season 5, episode 2 )
[This memory takes places on a spaceship with cavernous arching hallways and architecture reminiscent of television mega-churches. Kohime stands in front of a green forcefield locking in Glimmer on the other side. It's apparent Glimmer can't see out, but she appears to know someone is there as she demands to know who's outside and that they answer.
Kohime turns to go without a word -- and nearly runs into one of Prime's clones, startling her.]
CLONE: "You should not be here."
CATRA: "I--I wasn't--"
CLONE: "Prime has decreed that none shall speak to the Queen, you have disobeyed."
CATRA: "What does it matter? Prime has more important things to worry about, it's not like--"
[The clone advances on her menacingly, getting up in her face, and Kohime is visibly afraid, nearly trembling.]
CLONE: "You unworthy wretch. It is not for you to decide what matters to Prime. You are a parasite, nothing more than the dirt beneath his--"
[He cuts off abruptly and contorts unnaturally, his bones cracking painfully. When he calms, his eyes roll until glowing pupils are visible.]
PRIME: "Little Sister. Why do you rebel against my command?"
CATRA: "...Lord Prime?"
[Prime/the clone presses a finger against her nose.]
PRIME: "Prime sees all, Little Sister. Do not disturb the queen. Now -- run along."
[He leaves the clone then, who pushes her aside and goes to remove Glimmer, marching her off somewhere. She glances back at Catra as they go, who makes eye contact.]
