[The feeling fades as soon as the locker is closed. How's that hand doing?]

[ Fucking horribly. Ruby cradles it, trying very hard to ignore the bloody knuckles and wincing at the pain and slight embarassment of having just fucking crushed their hand about two seconds into exploring a unitmate's heart. ]

Fuck, there better be bandages somewhere in here...

[ opening Amaranth's, next. that seems safe. ]

[The locker on the inside is bark -- not just lined, it seems like it’s a living plant, the odd branch growing out with delicate pointed leaves (like a Japanese maple, but green). The shelves are formed by vine-like branches that sprouted out in a row and then twisted and twined, reaching across to an identical set of cousins on the other side. Propped against the back is a yari, well-balanced and deadly sharp, the length carved with intricate patterns and gilded with silver. A deep red narrow banner is attached near the base of the blade portion and dangles down. The piece has the feel of something very expensive and regal, something only a high-ranking family could afford.

On one of the shelves is a bottle of sake, the bottle a deep, calming blue and the label simple and elegant. Next to it is a scale, with solid, granite-coloured marbles that are perfectly balanced with one another. Beside that is the sole flower featured, again a deep calming blue, with delicate petals in the shape of a star.

The “shelf” above has grown into a curved sphere in the middle, arching around a little bud that hasn’t flowered yet, sheltering it.]

Totes unhelpful. Guess I could use the booze to disinfect, but I dunno it probably symbolizes something or whatever.

[ they do reach for the bottle and take a sip, though. ]

[It's a very nice sake. You feel warmth tinged with a desperation to please and receive affection.]

[Nothing happens at just your touch. The yari, though, is very real and serviceable, a good-quality weapon even if it's ornate.]

[ hm hmm

they're gonna close the locker and take the yari with them. on to Silence's! ]

[This locker is clearly divided into two halves using a jagged, uneven divider of clear glass that bisects the space inside on a diagonal. The top, larger half contains the following: jyanta, a broom and dustpan, a pile of notebooks with a pen on top, an assemble puzzle (albeit an incredibly simple one, with all the pieces being the same size and shape and the pattern a simple stack of blocks of various colours), and a knotted red string.

The bottom half is a smaller space. The inside is painted a startling riot of colours, frenetic and with no discernible pattern. A shattered mirror lays on the bottom and various types of knives are embedded in the inside walls of the locker. There is also a little picture, probably drawn by a child with some sort of coloured pencil or crayon, and it shows a little stick figure Silence or Song (or even Symphony who knows) with a little stick figure with cat ears and a tail that’s probably some version of Kohime. They’re smiling and holding hands.]

Huh.

[ they up the picture and examine it before placing in the top half, and then just...sit down to organize the bottom half, taking the knives out of the walls and stacking them neatly and using the broom and dustpan to remove the mirror shards and just like

toss 'em out. mirrors suck anyway. ]

[You rearrange the locker to your liking. Now what?]

[ they leave it open, heading over to also open Song's and look inside. ]

[Silence and Song share the locker you were just at.]

[ oh whoops I can read I promise

They're glancing over at Shrike's and Sekhmet's, then, considering... ]

...

Eh, I'd just fuck it up.

[ aaand grabbing a knife from Silence/Song's because you can never have enough weapons, and through the next door training room-wards. ]
