purrrnicious | Heart Game: Run #3

Not secret, not really. Most everyone knows it's here.

[She creeps a little closer, with mixed caution and interest, her ears perked and tail flicking.]

You're "Kaguya from Taisho", aren't you?

[ She makes sure to remain small, kneeling down to the child's height. Her smile fades somewhat, becoming a touch sad. ]

Mm. That's right. I am .

[She frowns, looking concerned.]

What's wrong? Don't you like being "Kaguya from Taisho"?

I don't think that Kaguya of Taisho has been very understanding of late. I'm afraid that... my own fears and worries caused me to make the mistake of not giving some others the benefit of the doubt. I'm feeling regret for that now.

[. . .

She reaches out and pats Kaguya's hand.]

It's okay. You're trying really hard, right? Can I tell you a secret?

[ . . . She gently catches one of those hands to squeeze. ]

Mm. I'd be honored if you would.

The mean one outside, she says she should be in charge. She says that we need to be stronger and better so no one can ever hurt us again, and that means without anybody else, 'cause they'll just leave anyway.

[Her ears droops a little.]

But. . . I don't think I want that. I want to try and figure out how to be good enough so they'll want to stay.

If you keep trying, maybe you'll figure it out, right?

Then... let's both do our best. We can both work hard to become the ideal version of ourselves that we want to become. And I'd be really glad if we could both try to do so together.

[She brightens.]

Okay! Do you wanna see the plans?

[She says "the plans" like it's something that's top secret and super important.]

[ Plans...!! ]

I'd be delighted.

[She scampers back to her nest on all fours and gathers up her papers before bringing them back over, excited.

The "plans" are literally just stick-figure versions of her with other people, smiling happily in blobs that are probably meant to be nature scenes. She spreads them out, and after considering them a moment, just says:]

. . .I'm still working on them.

[In fact she adds a scribble that's supposed to be a plate of spaghetti between her and Shadow Weaver in one of the pictures.]

You have a lot of impressive plans.

Is there one in particular that you want to work on first?

Mm. . . do you wanna draw one?

[She offers a blank piece of paper.]

For my own plans?

[Tilts her head to the side.]

Anything you wanna draw.

Hmm...

[ Draw Draw Draw Draw Draw ]

[ It would be nice if she could draw but she's not all that great outside of simple shapes, so we have some stick figures here!

It's a drawing of a long-haired girl and a girl with cat ears standing beside a large... shake? Drink? Something with two straws coming out of either side. It's labeled as a milkshake.]

There we go! What do you think?

[She leans in close, her tail curling and swishing with interest. . . possibly it's on the same same skill level as the child's drawings.]

What's a "milkshake"?

[ CLUTCHING ONE OF HER HANDS. ]

It... It is one of the most delicious things in the universe that you could ever taste. My favorite foods being Parfaits, Milkshakes, Okonomiyaki, and Shogayaki-- a sort of Ginger Pork. Please try all of them I'm sure you would love them. I have so many recommendations.

In fact, I have begun to categorize the parfaits at the cafe in Tokyo-F and ranking them by what is the most delicious and going down the line.

[A little taken aback by this milkshake intensity, though she does seem interested and engaged. ]

I don’t like stuff that’s too sweet, though...

The other options are more savory! I'm sure you'll like them, then. Especially the pork. Shio Ramen is really good too, depending on what you put in it.

[She nods enthusiastically, and then starts drawing in shio ramen, as imagined by someone who has no idea what that is. ]
