purrrnicious | Heart Game: Run #3

[With his usual dramatics:]

Oh Lord Catra.

You play a mean game of hide-and-seek, but I finally found you.

[She perks up, excited to see him, and scampers over on all floors, doing a quick loop around him with her tail swishing before she comes to a halt in front. There's an unrestrained happiness about her that's, uh, kind of strange for a version of Kohime, probably.]

Pff, don't be weird, I'm not "Lord Catra".

What was that? I couldn't hear you.

[And he leans down to pick up Catra with the practiced ease of someone who has been carrying around a baby brother since they were five.]

[She is totally fine with this, looping her tail around his arm and putting her arms around his neck. She leans in to whisper:]

Wanna know a secret? She doesn't exist!

[In mock surprise:]

She doesn't? How clever.

Then what shall I call you? Kohime or just Catra?

Oh. . . I don't know. I never decided.

Then Kohime for now.

[And he starts walking farther into the room.]

Going to give me the premium tour of the place?

[She flicks an ear, and sounds curious.]

You wanna see my drawings. . .?

Of course I do.

[She'll let him carry her until they're closer, then, and start squirming to be let down at that point.]

[Sets her down on her feet and then sits down on the grass himself.]

[She dashes over gather up as many as she can (some just end up scattered) before returning with them and settling in front of him.

The first few she takes out are all the ones that have childish little doodles of her, Adora, and Shadow Weaver. They're "happy family" type pictures, all the characters smiling and set mostly in the Fright Zone, you can guess, based on the solid blocks of same colours drawn around the characters. There are some that are under sunny skies with trees and things; these are newer.]

[He takes the time to look at each and every one of them individual, laying them out on the grass so they don't overlap.

But he picks up one that has actual sky and trees and points to the background:]

Umm. . .

[She seems to struggle to answer this.]

. . .When they started existing, I guess. There isn't that kind of stuff in the Fright Zone.

I see.

And which one is your favorite?

There's not a favourite.

[She frowns a little, crinkling the corner of one of them.]

They're, um. They're like wishes, I guess.

[Looks at all the pictures strewn about.]

All of them?

Mmhmm.

[She goes and gets the ones featuring Intensity now, holding one up facing her and in front of him, comparing the likeness with her tongue sticking out a little because she is an arteest.

These ones feature her and Intensity among blobs in FiN's colours (the dorm? maybe???), on top of a blob with a long neck and wings that's flying, in front of lots of fire -- they look smiling and happy in them all, too.]

[Carefully takes the one with Blue Eyes and the fire]

You want to ride on Blue Eyes together AND cause property damage?

Well I certainly can grant that.

[She looks pleased, if a little anxious.]

. . .Are you sure? This stuff's not really supposed to happen.

Good thing my specialty is making the impossible possible.

Certainly one coming true won't hurt, will it?

[She blinks.]

Well, no, it's not bad. It's just stuff that. . . won't.

Do you wanna draw something?

[. . .

Kohime...]

Yes. I would.

[And he holds his hand out for paper and pencil]

[She hands it over.]

[ He'll add his own drawing of himself and Kohime with Blue Eyes. Except there won't be fire and explosions (not there is anything wrong with either) but instead they'll be on top of a skyscraper with a garden overlooking a huge bustling city. And everything is real. Not plastic.

The tall steep drop of a roller coaster and the rest of an amusement park lies deep in the background.

The art style is very geometric - almost polygonal - as if it would be better suited to 3D visualization and also yanno. Just ygo things.]
