[She picks up another piece of paper and tries to follow along.]

[ she'll go slow and explain each step. this is kind of hard and it had taken her a bit to learn, but hurricane had been patient with her, so she had managed to do it. she'll be just as patient with kohime/catra, and because she's a smart little cookie, she's bound to get it too. ]

[She does, those hers is a little sloppy and not quite right. But it's her first one, and she is a child.]

In no time at all we'll have a family of these little guys!

[ she gives her a smile though it fades after a moment, because she considers asking about the stuff she took again. but then what kohime told her echoes in her head, that she might not like the result. ]

[ maybe. maybe finding out the answer is a bad idea. ]

[ she lets her gaze drop to the ground as she frowns, because that makes it seem like she fucked up and, well, she probably absolutely did. she stole stuff, attempted kidnapping, did a murder, ... ]

[She seems to notice the sudden change in mood, placing her hand on D.Va's arm.]

. . .What's wrong?

I need your help.

I think I might have... messed things up...

Okay. . .

[She adjusts until she's in a cat-like crouch, curling her tail around herself and watching D.Va.]

Do you know about Kohime?

[She nods.]

I do.

...then you know she means a lot to me. [ she looks aside, hesitating. ] I talked to her before coming down here, because of the stuff in a locker I found, it was labeled with my name. She said something I... I don’t quite get, and now I’m... [ scared and nervous. ]

[ she motions to the stuff she had set aside. ] I’m not going to like the result...

The result of what?
What did I do?

[She looks at it a moment, a small frown on her face as she tries to work through how to explain.]

Well. . . all of this place is "Kohime". Pieces of her. So if you take something from her, then she won't have it.

You understand?

[ she visibly pales. ]

I... I understand.

[ getting to her feet she staggers, but she stubbornly makes her way to the things she’d taken. ] They’re not mine to take.

[She just watches her without commenting. This particular aspect of the heart isn't really capable of moralizing about the right and wrong of making changes through heart games.]

I need to go fix this...

[ she sets a hand over her heart and turns in the direction she came. ]

But I can come back if you like.
I just... have to do this...

[She gets up to follow, her tail lashing.]

But you're not gonna make it all the way back there!

Are you talking about the glitching Catra in the next room?

Yeah. . . I don't like her. But you're hurt, so even without her. . .

I have to try though.

If this stuff is with me, then, like you said, it’s not with Kohime.

[ she turns her back on the small child, so she doesn’t have to see her starting to cry. she tries to tell herself to stop, because she. doesn’t. do. tears. but she can’t help herself. she thinks about how she told her that she’s never had someone she could call her #1 and if she loses that because she had been a fucken idiot... well, then, at least it’s her own fault, but she can feel her heart starting to break in two already. ]

I’m not going to let her forget me,
Forget us.

[She chews her lip, shaking her head.]

You won't make it, and then they are lost!

. . .If you want, you can give one to me. And give one to her, outside. She might hurt you, so it's still dangerous, but. . .

[ ... ]

[ her chances of survival are slim to none, so that spikes her concern through the roof. ]

Alright. Here. You can have these. [ she’ll hand the rings to the tiny. ] I’m not sure what this one means anyway, but I’ll see if I can’t get it to Kohime.

[She accepts them and, after a moment of thought, goes over to her blanket nest and rummages for something.]

[ blinks, watching her run off. ]

[ she quirks her head and watches. ]

[She pulls out a red thread, similar to how it was hung in the locker, and with extreme concentration is trying to tie it in a loop with the rings on it. ]

[ she moves a bit closer, watching with the same intensity that the little catra had been watching her draw earlier. ]

[She finally gets it, and then puts it around her neck like a necklace. Then she looks up at D.Va expectantly.]

Is that okay?
