[ she sets a hand over her heart and turns in the direction she came. ]

[She gets up to follow, her tail lashing.]

[ she turns her back on the small child, so she doesn’t have to see her starting to cry. she tries to tell herself to stop, because she. doesn’t. do. tears. but she can’t help herself. she thinks about how she told her that she’s never had someone she could call her #1 and if she loses that because she had been a fucken idiot... well, then, at least it’s her own fault, but she can feel her heart starting to break in two already. ]

[She chews her lip, shaking her head.]

[ her chances of survival are slim to none, so that spikes her concern through the roof. ]

Alright. Here. You can have these. [ she’ll hand the rings to the tiny. ] I’m not sure what this one means anyway, but I’ll see if I can’t get it to Kohime.

[She accepts them and, after a moment of thought, goes over to her blanket nest and rummages for something.]

[ blinks, watching her run off. ]

[ she quirks her head and watches. ]

[She pulls out a red thread, similar to how it was hung in the locker, and with extreme concentration is trying to tie it in a loop with the rings on it. ]

[ she moves a bit closer, watching with the same intensity that the little catra had been watching her draw earlier. ]

[She finally gets it, and then puts it around her neck like a necklace. Then she looks up at D.Va expectantly.]

Is that okay?

It looks amazing.

[ crouches down and ruffles her hair, reaching out to give her a hug. ]

[She prrts, her tail swishing. ]

Okay. . . What’s left? A snake and a lock?

Yeah.

[ she produces them for her. ]

Just these two.

Okay.

[She looks between them, thinking a moment, then:]

Give the False Core the snake –– but try not to wake her up, okay? She's really mean.

With the locket, right?

[ she doesn't want to mess this up. ]

And I'll do my best. [ because if she does wake her up, then she's pretty much sol. ]

Should I put it anywhere in particular?

Mmhmm. Wherever feels right, I think.

Alright. [ she looks back in the direction she came from, feeling a touch anxious. ] ...thanks for helping me.

Is there anything special I might be able to do for Kohime when all of this is over? Something I might not have known about and overlooked that she really likes?

[She tilts her head to the side, not really understanding where the question is coming from.]

. . .You went to the storage room, right?

[ and, look, she's going to want to just smother kohime the moment all of this is over, and she's feeling wholly inadequate right now, because she's nothing but a fuck up. ]

That's stuff that's "fun" but not "useful", so's not allowed.

[ she takes a deep breath and starts heading towards the other room. ]

Keep that picture safe, alright. And the dragon duo too. [ she gives her a smirk. ] Princess~
